Rough Set Ireland

Armed with nothing but a tiny backpack, a water proof sleeping-bag and a cell phone, ex-Irish army officer, United Nations Quick Reaction Forces soldier turned standup comedian Francis Cronin must cover the ≈240km/150 miles from Salthill, Galway to Dublin’s 40Foot on foot over the freezing cold holiday season, performing live standup comedy and storytelling along the way, all while sleeping out rough under the stars to raise money for the Simon Community. Will Frank make it home alive for Christmas dinner? What celebrities will join him along the way? Will the people of Ireland walk with him? Tune in and find out, as Francis Cronin risks it all to try and be just a little less useless. 18th-25th December.
